2014 Trampoline League Finals

Wow, what a weekend that was! This weekend just gone (6th-7th December) was the first ever Trampoline and DMT League Finals, held at the University of Cambridge Sports Centre. The whole event has been an overwhelming success and exceeded all expectations for the size and attendance of the event – well done to everyone involved, organisers, competitors, sponsors and the audience. I suspect a bigger venue will be needed next year!

On a personal level the finals were very successful, Emily Mulcahy and I won Gold in the Synchronised Trampoline Open Finals, and I won Silver in the League 1 17-18 Individual Trampoline Finals and then 7th place in the Individual Trampoline Open Finals.

2014 British Championships

Over the weekend of the 20th-21st September we were at the British Trampoline Championships, which took place at the Echo Arena in Liverpool. This is the first time the finals have taken place here, and it was quite an experience with all the sound and lighting effects being used.

This years qualification events were harder than previous ones, so I was very pleased to have qualified for the final, and after a hard weekend, with only a minor wobble, I was very happy to win the bronze medal in my category.

We had a great time in Liverpool and really enjoyed the competition and watching all the other performers. I have uploaded a video of our time at the Echo Arena to my YouTube channel – it should also appear here on my website under “Videos“.

“Run ‘by the Clubs, for the Clubs’, the League is designed to be both a professional and enjoyable competition series that includes exciting features such as a League Final event, a Club team event and prize money for Open events (except at the DWH International Cup).”

2013 Under 19 Elite National Schools Champion

The 2013 National Schools Trampoline Finals were held on Saturday 9th March 2013 at Chase Leisure Centre in Cannock.

After an earlyish start, we arrived at the venue in plenty of time and got settled whilst we waited for the Under 19 Girls Elite warm up to be called.

Having found an official to sign her tariff sheet and spot her (thanks Mikee!), it was time for the competition.

Scoring was quite tight and competition good, but after the first round Victoria was in first place with a total of 27.10 and we waited nervously for the vol routines.

Victoria completed a lovely routine that scored 31.2 and kept her in first place, but then we had to wait for everyone else to finish to confirm the positions.

After what seemed like ages, the computerised scoring finally confirmed all 8 competitors scores, and Victoria took first place by a margin of 3.2 points, a well-earned victory.

2012 National Finals

The 2012 Trampolining National Finals were held at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena (NIA) this weekend, and Victoria had qualified for both the individual FIG-B U17G event and the U19 Synchro final (with her Synchro partner Sally). We arrived on the Friday, with the Individual qualification event taking part on Saturday, and the event finals on the Sunday.

Victoria got off to an incredible start in the FIG-B U17G individual event, finishing in 5th place, and qualifying for the individual final on Sunday, having already qualified for the Synchro final at the earlier Galas.

On the Sunday, Sally and Victoria put in a great performance with their Synchro, finishing 4th, just outside a podium finish. A solid performance in the Individual final saw Victoria finish 6th, a result we are all pleased with.
